We strive to assist the government ministry of health & associated institutions through our health programming that would cover first aid and pre-hospital emergency care, primary healthcare, hospital care, mental health and psychosocial support; i.e health promotion, health protection and contribution to healthcare service provision – aimed at ensuring that children, women and men are treated, cared for and protected from the leading causes of death, receive the wide-ranging support they need and have access to reproductive health services. We shall focus in diseases including HIV, Malaria, TB, sickle cell and support in fighting against epidemics and pandemics when they occur – especially in vulnerable communities. Specifically, to curb the spread of preventable diseases and improve the living conditions of whole communities, Deviin will visit schools, have sessions with students, visit district hospitals and other community health structures to sensitize on relevant diseases, conduct voluntary screening/testing and distribute materials/disseminate information (fliers and posters).

The intricate linkage between man and his environment cannot be over emphasized. Failure to take care of this environment and nature will definitely put man’s own long-term survival at risk. Across the world we have witnessed several natural disasters like floods and droughts exacerbated by climate change. There is no doubt that Africa in the absence of any action will be the most hit by climate change. Already, in poor communities with unimproved infrastructures and limited access to health care, we are witnessing crop failures, increasing food prices heightening the problem of food insecurity and nutritional deprivations. These are largely as a result of droughts and changing global rainfall patterns across the African continent as a whole.

What’s more, uncontrolled littering, inappropriate and inadequate waste collection and treatment, as well as the desire to achieve economic objectives of development through exploitation of natural resources and development of infrastructures all happen at the expense of people’s well being and nature. One of the direct impacts of such unplanned developments is the destruction of habitats for wildlife exacerbated by poaching for both bush meat and trafficking for wildlife products like elephant ivories, skins, etc., and increasing the potential of human-wildlife conflict.

The strategy around Deviin’s environmental care (protection) for social inclusion and sustainable development entails:

  • An environmental education program that will raise awareness among young people and especially in schools on the concept of sustainable development as it relates to environmental protection.
  • A climate action program that provides an exceptional opportunity to unlock massive economic and social benefits that can contribute in achieving the SDGs.
  • The mainstreaming of environmental protection in the operations of the private sector through their corporate social responsibility policies.

Advocacy to promote development and adoption of cleaner energy sources so as to reduce the level of green-house-gases and directly reduce climate change.
